Personal Questions

  1. Describe your character’s personality – JT is soft spoken but very friendly. Spends most of his time quietly, almost separating himself from the rest of the Pipers with his shy disposition, but has no problem asserting himself into a leadership role. His smile is guarded as well as his opinions.

  2. Describe how your character would appear to a stranger (I.E. typical dress, way they carry themselves etc.) Blue jeans, boots, and polos or t-shirts.

3.What does your character like? Enjoys playing the drums, music, continuing his education in medicine, hanging out with Red and the other Pipers on off days.

  1. Dislike?

Silence – needs a white noise machine playing in his bedroom or some sort of noise to fall asleep.

The cold – having spent the past half dozen years or so in the desert heat, he has grown accustomed to it, almost preferring the blistering heat compared to being cold.

Excessive drinking – Saw too many of his friends fall into the bottle in dealing with their personal demons. He is a social drinker, but does not like to get drunk. Losing himself in a drunken stupor and not being in control of his actions is not something he enjoys. Almost always the designated driver.

  1. What are your fears? (please choose and explain 3 minimum)

Being a young werewolf – compared to the others around him, he is barely a pup in a world he barely understands. He has no one to speak to about his problems, neglecting even using Vivienne’s professional help, and suffers in silence.

His werewolf birth family – The Michaels. Their betrayal against the Pipers is a stain he wears on his soul. Although he never met his biological father, nor had anything to do with that side of his family, he carries the shame of their deeds and is extremely defensive if included. Constantly worries what the other Pipers think of him and worries if his biological family’s psychosis is in him.

Not being an exemplary Piper – JT is thrilled to be a Piper, but the pressure of being an Alpha’s Piper is terrifying to him. Not even a year old werewolf and he was thrust into the responsibilities of serving the Alpha and the family Elders. Glenveagh had been the most extreme of tests – surviving a massacre and proving himself capable of being a Piper, he still doubts his ability to stand with the rest of the men. He is still trying to find what makes him unique.

  1. What is your character’s strengths and weaknesses? (please pick 3 minimum of each and explain in detail how and why this affects your character)

  • Blood Memory – JT is the only Piper not affected by the aggressive aspect of the Duban/Huntington blood memory. He carries the memory and the vampires are the center focus of it, but has none of the instinctive hate toward them.

  • Bedside Manner – Is unusually caring and friendly, despite being in the health profession. A regular male Florence Nightingale, JT genuinely cares for the people he treats and tries to be positive and encouraging at all times.

  • Natural Leader – Drawing from his father’s Alpha leading abilities, JT has always been the easy choice for Leader. It has never been anything he strives for, but he has always been the natural choice. He can command authority without the threat of violence like his biological father and brothers.

  • Suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. Outwardly he has control on the anxieties he developed while in the Air Force, serving in the middle east, but he has yet to seek treatment for it. His anxieties manifest themselves in extreme cases of anger and results in claustrophobia, paranoia, and aggressive physical tendencies.

  • Shy. JT is friendly but does not always thrust himself into social situations like the other Pipers can. He is the polar opposite of the one Piper he would call his best friend, Red.

  • Shoes. Oddly enough, JT thoroughly enjoys new shoes. So much so that his entire closet is lined with shoes of every variety, most he has only worn once.

Cosmetic Traits(Distinct, character defining physical attributes. These should be minor and offer no real power other than to make your character appear more interesting.)

Gunshot wound on the front of his left shoulder.

Minor shrapnel scars along his right forearm and right thigh.

Silver burns, palm of his left hand – handling silver for the first time.

Tattoo sleeves along both shoulders, down his upper and middle back, some on top of his scars. The artwork is black outlined with no color, made up of mostly angled Arabic designs – most of his unit in Afghanistan received similar ink after losing ten men in one battle. JT keeps it hidden under his clothing and rarely shows it off due to its deep personal meaning.

Quirks and Habits worthy of mention –

Personal History 3rd person (1st is acceptable) but please be as detailed as possible, this can/will affect your rp with other players.

JT Paulson was a Piper, much to his dismay. He had only been a werewolf a little less than a year and his life since then has been on fast forward ever since. JT had spent his adult life in the military as a ParaRescueman or PJ, in and out of places around the world, gone at least two hundred and sixty days out of the year, every year. He missed most holidays, and even though he saw less and less of his family, the military had filled that missing part in his life. As a PJ, his job involved providing emergency medical treatment necessary to stabilize and evacuate injured personnel while acting in an enemy evading recovery role. PJ’s also act as aircrew gunners and scanners on fixed and rotary wing aircraft while performing flight following duties. In addition, they provide contingency landing sites for NASA missions.

Life was simple, such as it was, and had been decorated twice with the Silver Star for going above and beyond duty while engaged in doing whatever the big Blue had sent him to do. So being pulled from that life and thrust completely blind and ill prepared to handle his new world bordered on difficult, but really, being a Piper was nothing short of magnificent.

JT had been stationed in Florida, attached to another Para Rescue Wing when Victor Jameson showed up out of the blue on a sunny and blistering warm day in July and told him that JT was related to the Jameson family, an honor, albeit ‘how’ was not. Victor explained what he was, what they needed JT for, left his business card saying he’d wait for JT’s call. That’s it. No bullshit, he was related to werewolves. JT almost tore up the card.

JT had started this new life with his eyes wide open and upon approval of his early separation from the US Air Force, returned to Canberra, Australia with Victor and met Shayle, Victor’s older brother and the trainer of the incoming Jameson Pipers. He spent the next several months learning everything about the family, such as it was.

He had been raised in hiding away from his biological father for a reason, brought up by his mother and stepfather in the United States and never knew his father was none other than the Alpha Ian Michaels, SR of Quebec, Canada – the father of the Piper who killed three other Pipers in pursuit of Ellis Duban and Simon Huntington, then was savagely killed by them. JT Paulson was the illegitimate son of the same Alpha who tried to send another son to the Nachton Pipers, but had recently died after a visit from the Elders, therefore recalling said son to take his father’s place.

Silently JT thanked his mother for hiding him.

He continued on with his quick education, learning about the Pipers position within this thing called the Greater Pack – their Alpha and their duty, which was now his. Then he was sent to Glenveagh, Ireland to train with the Elders after seeing JT’s extensive military training, as well as being a trauma medic. That’s when the world turned upside down.

Glenveagh had been attacked and he, along with the two other Pipers and the family Elders, were the sole survivors. He was not due to even be evaluated as a Piper for at least six months, despite prior training, but suddenly JT was not just a Piper, but part of the Nachton Alpha Pipers. It did not get higher than that.

So after arriving to the Pack’s property in Nachton, USA, JT sat in his apartment with his feet up on the coffee table and stared at his new found long legs (he had grown six inches since his gifting). This was his life. It wasn’t too bad, so far.

The apartments were spacious, obviously built for taller, larger bodies, and apparently he was located near the other Pipers, but had yet to meet them formally. There had been a rush of introductions in Ireland, but that was the last he saw of the Alpha’s Pipers. It was quiet and almost church-like when suddenly the sound of an electric guitar floated down the hallway and through his door.

Sitting forward JT listened. Smiling, he recognized the song and stood, curious to see where it was coming from. Opening his entry door, he stuck his head out into the hallway and looked to his left and further down he could see an opened doorway. Walking down, he figured it was as good a time as any to get acquainted with the another Piper, maybe sit and listen to their DVDs with them, when he peered around the corner and saw a tall red head playing the song flawlessly on his Gibson. JT shook his head and then remembered. It was Red, the other trauma medic Piper on the team and their fourth in command. JT remembered meeting him vividly.

Both their hands came down on the medic pack on the floor of the helicopter. JT looked up and saw blue impatient and angry eyes staring at him.

“What are you…you’ve done trauma?” The other Piper had asked as JT lifted his hands, not wanting to waste time.

“Yeah, you?” They moved together toward the woman they called Vivienne Sena, choking to death on the tarmac in front of Leadership. The Beta had just crushed her neck in a fury that JT had never seen any man possess and she was suffocating.

They both knelt down in front of her and the other Piper, Red he soon learned was his name, began handing him tubing and a scalpel while Red filled an entire syringe with adrenaline. JT immediately cut into her ribcage, trying to get to her lungs since a tracheotomy would be useless with her crushed neck. He reached in, separating the opening and sliced a small section of her left lung, inserting the tube within seconds.

“Start a…,” Red quickly said, readying the syringe.

“Done, go,” JT said, holding one hand up but securing the tube until Red quickly explained to a blue lipped Vivienne that the adrenaline will jump start her regeneration and to hold on tight.

JT let go of the tube the second Red plunged the syringe through her ribcage and into her heart, delivering the adrenaline all in the same movement. Her body arched with a painful howl as the adrenaline shot through her, forcing the regeneration at an incredible rate, and it had to have been excruciating.

Within a minute her windpipe was regenerating quickly and no doubt painfully from the adrenaline. As she took a labored, ragged breath through her throat, JT saw Leadership turn away, ordering the Pipers to take Vivienne back to Nachton. That was the last he saw of her until that day at the airport.

Red and JT looked up at each other and silently fist bumped as the other Pipers helped her up.

JT looks forward to his new life as a Piper within the Alpha’s squad. What was the worse that could happen?
