Description (if an NPC) or name of your creator/gifter(if a PC) ( Please be as specific as possible, who your creator/gifter was, why he chose to change you, where is he/she now?):
Gifted by his now deceased father Brian Jameson, the old Elder. Per family tradition he was gifted at 16.
1. Describe your character’s personality
Publicly Duncan is the strong hilt to his opposite Vigo’s steel blade. Alone he has a formidable presence, is highly respected throughout the pack and none other is equal to his authority as Elder. Privately Duncan is as happy as an old dog with a bone. He is charismatic, charming, flirty, and has an incredible sense of humor. His oldest son, the current Commander of the Alpha’s personal Piper squad, could be his younger carbon copy.
2. Describe how your character would appear to a stranger (I.E. typical dress, way they carry themselves etc.)
Duncan has two sides to his appearance. Professionally he favors tailored suits that fit his 6’6 frame, privately he enjoys crisply creased khakis and polo shirts. He carries himself with a self assurance that cannot be faked and has been known to enjoy the company of women, but has never betrayed his wife. Window shopping, as it were.
3.What does your character like?
Enjoys reading military novels
Long legs and tone arms
Being with his family, especially his remaining surviving three sons.
Disrespect for authority
raw food – you’ll never see him eating sushi or the like. He is very particular about his foods.
5. (For humans) Describe what abilities you see your character having if they were turned.
6. What are your fears? (please choose and explain 3 minimum)
His son Brig and nephew Hammer’s friendship causing irreparable harm which would trickle down to the family and erode the strength of it that he and Vigo had spent decades creating. Vigo and Duncan are not only Elders to two of the most powerful families within the Pack, but their partnership strengthens the protection of the Alpha and leadership. Together they are a powerhouse of authority, strength, loyalty, and control and Duncan wants to see that the the two men not throw away their symbiotic partnership that will help them well into their old age – as leaders and as friends.
Vigo’s relationship with Vivienne has been on the forefront of Duncan’s mind since Vig brought the VR pup into the pack. Vigo has always afforded Duncan plausible deniability, but Duncan worries more for the potential of corrupt Vivienne could infuse his best friend with. So far she has been the dutiful adoptive daughter, accomplishing any task that Vigo has burdened her with, but Duncan watches, waiting for the inevitable.
The Alpha being so near to the epicenter of the Vampires seat of power worries the protector in him. With the discovery of the vampires and their role in the banishment of the werewolves centuries before, Duncan fears they are pushing the line of defense too close to the silus, and with the inner fighting between the smaller packs after the new Alpha had ascended into his (step)father’s position, both Vigo and Duncan have tightened their grip on the outer families, making him even more nervous that their need to exert their authority shows a weakness that could leave the Alpha vulnerable.
7. What is your character’s strengths and weaknesses? (please pick 3 minimum of each and explain in detail how and why this affects your character)
Empathy/Compassion – Duncan knows the value of empathizing with his Pipers. He is not a man without a soul that he can’t appreciate the trials and tribulations a serving Piper has to endure.
Assertiveness – Duncan has never had a problem with being able to do the right thing and act on it. A suggestion is just a bunch of words unless you have the experience and goal set in mind to see it to fruition. He has never shied away from confrontation and respects a man (or woman) who does the same.
Sense of humor – His sense of human might be dry publicly, but having one has made his men feel more at ease around their Elder and CO. There’s always time for a joke or a good time and it helps strengthen his bond with his men.
Irritable – Narrow mindedness and distraction annoy Duncan to the point of spitting steel. He is friendly man but reacts with a short temper toward mistakes that could have been prevented, insubordination, and down right stupidity.
Domineering – Ducan’s forced focus can be misconstrued as domineering, but you aren’t a Piper unless you can take that suffering and applying it to your success. If not, Duncan will rip you not one, but two new ones.
Secretly smokes with Vigo – Cigars might be a phallic symbol, but he sneaks smokes with his Vigo when he can. His wife always catches the smells of the tobacco on him to which he vehemently blames on Vigo.

The massive wolf slowly crept up the hill, following the noises of children running and playing in the early evening hours. The two story stone home smelled of food and life as the deep red wolf moved with its belly barely grazing the muddied grass surrounding the house. Its blue eyes twinkled as the shape of a woman passed one of the open windows. The smell of her long, dark hair wafting out to the creature. Moving around the back, it heard the human female call to her brood, ushering them up the stairs.
The stomping of young feet and laughter ran up to the second floor and into solitary room. One. Two. Three.
The beast hopped quietly onto a high pile of firewood and launched itself to the moss covered awning underneath the young brood’s windows. It waited patiently, the time ticked by until the female shooshed her children and extinguished the light. The quiet giggling of the children made his ears twitch and finally it settled, quiet, peaceful. The children were alone.
Nudging its nose against the wooden shutters, it eased open the window and stuck its head in, smelling the children. Their dark red mops of hair were barely visible above their thick multi-patched blankets. The wolf pulled its massive body up and slowly dropped into the room, nary a sound betraying its presence.
One. Two. Three.
Three boys slept soundly in their beds as the big bad wolf turned and looked at the larger of the three, creeping slowly to his bed. The boy slept soundly, quietly, peaceful. The wolf came within a foot of the boy and suddenly his eyes opened up, blue eyes looking face to face with the beast.
The wolf whipped its tail and smiled his wolf smile.
A high pitch scream ripped through the house. The mistress holding her youngest rolled her eyes and jostled her youngest awake, making the young baby mew with soft cries as she ran up the stairs and burst into the room to see the wolf on top of her oldest son’s bed, covered by three young boys.
“Duncan Reginald Jameson! You’re filthy! Get off Brian’s bed!”
Duncan Jameson shook his sons off easily and stepped off the bed, cowering in front of his wife. He barked happily and brushed up against her dress.
“DUNCAN!” The baby, young David, stopped crying at the sight of his father and reached for him. “Oh no, not until you’ve cleaned up. Get to the bath,” she demanded, pointing toward the wash room.
Duncan forced his change and returned to his human shape and grabbed for his wife’s apron, wrapping it around his waist as he kissed her her passionately on the lips and took their youngest.
“Dad, we can see your behind,” his oldest Brian said giggling with his brothers.
“Oops, sorry lads.” He adjusted his covering and handed the baby back to his wife. Kissing her quickly on the cheek, he slapped her on her bottom and raced out of the room.
“Duncan, I swear,” his wife said blushing.
Duncan Jameson recalled the good times with all four of his boys as he stood with his best friend Vigo Hammerthynn at the families’ home in Canberra. His eyes looked across the room and found his wife, still beautiful, still dark haired and smiling at him. He was minus a son now, but all his boys were still close to his heart and had made their father proud. Brian grew into a fine Alpha Piper Commander and had relocated to Nachton, Shayle trained the Pipers in Canberra, and Victor maintained the Jameson connection by finding related Jamesons, bringing them into the fold. It was everything a man could ask for and he felt blessed.
Winking at his wife he mouthed silently, “Wanna give the old man a toss, then?”
‘Duncan, I swear,’ she mouthed back but turned with a finger hooked out to him to follow.
Yes, life was good.
